*sigh* What a trying week it has been. A little background: In late September 2005 my mom went into the hospital for a hysterectomy (they thought she had tumors in her uterus.) Turns out she didn't have tumors on her uterus, but on her bladder (still there) and a larger tumor (some rare nonmalignant thing-leave it to my mom! lol! She found out later that just about everyone on duty in the hospital in the medical field came by to see it because it is so rare) in her uterus. They did go ahead and do the hysterectomy plus a coloscopy because her utereun wall, her bladder, and part of her colon were all fused together and they ended up having to take out part of her colon. This past February (the 15th to be exact) she went in to have the reverse coloscopy. After both surgeries she had some seepage from the wound site and a fairly difficult recovery. Two weeks ago she went out with my MIL and they went to lunch. The lunch made her sick and that evening she was in such pain that my dad took her to the emergency room. They did an ultrasound and found out that her gallbladder was full of gall stones. Her surgery was this past Wednesday (March 22) and everything was fine. Until Friday. Now she can't keep anything down and she's been feeling naseous. So, she was admitted back into the hospital today so they could put in an IV and keep her hydrated. Whew! I just feel so bad for her. Please keep her in your prayers for me. It would mean a lot.
